Shipping & Delivery Policy
When CSE ships physical reference materials, booklets or certificates arising from our consulting and advisory work.
Last updated: 7 September 20261. Scope
This policy applies to physical items that Centre For Safety Environment ("CSE") may ship to clients, students, training participants or workshop attendees in India, including but not limited to:
- Hardcopy certificates issued on completion of a CSE training or consultation engagement.
- Reference books, branded booklets, course kits and notebooks supplied for in-person workshops and cohort programmes.
- Printed welcome/induction packs shipped to participants ahead of a workshop or onsite visit.
- Supporting physical documents (printed templates, log books, regulator-facing forms) prepared under a paid advisory engagement.
- Mock or sample documents you have approved in writing to be sent by post (e.g., for signature or countersignature).
All other deliverables are digital and are governed by our standard delivery terms, not by this policy.
2. Dispatch Timelines
| Item type | Dispatch target after payment / event | Mode |
|---|---|---|
| Hardcopy certificate | 7–10 working days from certificate issue date | India Post Speed Post / reputed courier |
| Reference book or branded booklet | 3–5 working days from order | Reputed domestic courier |
| Workshop welcome/induction pack | 5–7 working days before workshop date | Reputed domestic courier |
| Supporting documentation | As agreed in the engagement letter; usually 5–10 working days from approval | Reputed domestic courier |
| Bulk / multi-destination shipments (cohort of 20+) | 10–15 working days; coordinates shared in advance | Bulk freight / door delivery |
Working days exclude national public holidays and Sundays. Timelines are targets, not guarantees — actual timelines depend on courier performance, force majeure, and client confirmation of the shipping address.
3. Shipping Coverage
- Domestic (India) — All serviceable PIN codes via India Post or reputed courier partners (Delhivery, Blue Dart, DTDC, Ecom Express, etc., at CSE's discretion based on destination and item).
- International — By exception only, where an engagement letter explicitly requires physical cross-border dispatch. International shipping is at client's cost and is subject to destination-country import rules. CSE is not responsible for customs delays or duties.
- Unserviceable PIN codes — CSE will inform you if a PIN code is unserviceable and discuss alternative delivery arrangements.
4. Shipping Charges
Shipping is generally included in the cost of the engagement (no separate shipping fee) for the following items shipped within India:
- Hardcopy certificates issued against a paid consultation or training.
- One workshop welcome/induction pack per registered participant.
- Supporting documentation shipped under a paid advisory engagement.
For shipments beyond the above (extra copies, replacement copies, requests outside the engagement scope, international shipments, or repeat dispatches), CSE will quote shipping costs in advance and dispatch only on receipt of payment.
5. Order Tracking
- Once a shipment is dispatched, CSE emails the consignment number / tracking ID to the email address on file within 1 working day of pickup.
- You can track the shipment on the courier partner's tracking portal or at India Post for Speed Post items.
- CSE retains the dispatch proof (pickup receipt, weight slip, airway bill) for at least 6 months from dispatch.
6. Delivery & Address Confirmation
You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and accessible shipping address (including PIN code, landmark, recipient name and phone number). CSE will share the address on the airway bill for your confirmation before dispatch only when it is a first shipment to your address, the shipment value exceeds ₹5,000, or the engagement letter expressly requires confirmation. For all other shipments, the address on file at the time of dispatch is treated as final. Re-shipments due to incorrect / incomplete address will be at your cost.
7. Failed / Returned Deliveries
A shipment is treated as "delivered" once the courier marks it delivered to the address supplied (including leaving with a neighbour / security / reception as per courier policy). If a shipment is returned to CSE due to non-delivery (refused, unclaimed, undeliverable), CSE will notify you by email and offer re-dispatch at an additional shipping cost (quoted in advance). Returned packages are held for 30 days. After 30 days, the package may be disposed of or, for certificates, re-issued only on fresh written request and applicable fee.
8. Damaged, Tampered or Lost Shipments
- Damaged in transit. Notify CSE within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the outer packaging and damaged item. CSE will arrange a replacement at no additional cost where the damage is attributable to transit or to inadequate packaging by CSE.
- Tampered. Do not accept a shipment that appears tampered. Refuse delivery and contact CSE immediately. We will investigate and arrange a replacement.
- Lost in transit. If the tracking status shows no movement for 7 consecutive working days beyond the expected delivery date, CSE will treat the shipment as lost and dispatch a replacement (where applicable) or refund the shipping fee (where the shipment was paid for separately). The replacement / refund is the limit of CSE's liability.
9. Risk of Loss & Title
Risk of loss and title for physical items pass to you upon delivery by the courier partner. Until then, CSE bears the risk subject to the limits above.
10. Force Majeure
CSE is not responsible for delays in dispatch or delivery caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemic, government orders, civil unrest, transport strikes, courier partner strike or shutdown, internet/telecom outages, war, or acts of terrorism. In such cases, dispatch resumes as soon as reasonably practicable.
11. No Cash on Delivery (COD)
CSE does not offer Cash on Delivery for any shipment. All shipments are prepaid (i.e., either included in the engagement fee or paid in advance before dispatch).
12. Cancellation of Shipment
If you wish to cancel a shipment that has not yet been dispatched, write to ssc.envirosafety@gmail.com. Once the package has been picked up by the courier, the shipment cannot be cancelled; it can only be recalled on the courier partner's standard recall process, which may attract a fee deducted from any refundable amount.
