These Terms and Conditions govern your use of consultations, advisory services, and digital content offered by Centre For Safety Environment (CSE).

1. Scope & Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client", "you", "your") and Centre For Safety Environment ("CSE", "we", "us", "our"), having its registered office at 225 A Shastri Nagar, Pawan Chowk, Opp Dogra Sr Secondary School, Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir — 180004, India. By accessing this website, requesting a consultation, paying any consultation fee, or otherwise engaging CSE's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

2. Description of Services

CSE offers professional advisory services relating to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) registration, audit support and credit trading under Plastic, E-Waste and Battery Waste rules; Carbon footprint accounting, GHG inventory development, climate-risk assessment, Net Zero strategy, and Indian Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) readiness; Circular Economy, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), BRSR, GRI and CDP reporting; and related training, documentation, and digital content. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline and fees for any engagement are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Consultation sessions are advisory in nature and do not constitute legal opinion unless specifically engaged as such in writing. The following are not included unless explicitly agreed in writing:

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. By engaging CSE, you represent that you have the authority to bind the entity on whose behalf you are acting.

4. Fees & Payment

Consultation fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹) and are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Payment is due at the time of booking via the payment methods made available on the checkout page. CSE reserves the right to revise fees at any time; fees for an existing booking remain those paid by you at booking. CSE is not responsible for bank charges, payment-gateway fees, foreign-exchange conversion charges, or import duties that may apply to your transaction.

Right of cancellation. As detailed in our Refund Policy, a full refund is available if you cancel within 24 hours of booking and before your consultation slot has been confirmed or delivered. Once the consultation slot is confirmed, or the consultation has been delivered, the fee becomes non-refundable.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, in CSE communications, and in any consultation deliverables (text, graphics, templates, frameworks, methodologies, slide decks, checklists) is the intellectual property of CSE or its licensors and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and applicable international law. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use such content for your internal business purposes only. You may not copy, republish, sell, sublicence, or derive commercial training material from CSE's content without prior written consent.

7. Confidentiality

Each party shall keep confidential all non-public information disclosed by the other party that is marked or reasonably understood to be confidential ("Confidential Information"). Confidential Information does not include information that (a) is or becomes public through no breach of these Terms; (b) was lawfully known before disclosure; (c) is independently developed without use of the other party's Confidential Information; or (d) is required to be disclosed by law, court order, or regulator. CSE's confidentiality obligation survives termination for three (3) years.

8. Disclaimers & No Guarantee of Outcome

The content on this website and any advice given during a consultation is for general informational purposes and is not legal, financial, taxation, or audit certification. While CSE makes reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and up to date, the regulatory landscape evolves rapidly and content may be incomplete or contain errors. CSE does not guarantee any specific regulatory outcome (registration approval, credit issuance, audit clearance, refund) as a result of any consultation or advisory service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law: (a) CSE's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to any engagement shall not exceed the fees actually paid by you for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim; (b) CSE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of profits, business, goodwill, data, or opportunity; and (c) nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CSE, its founder, employees and advisers from any claims, losses, damages, penalties, fines, costs and expenses arising out of (a) your misuse of this website or CSE content; (b) your breach of these Terms or applicable law; (c) inaccurate or misleading information you provide; or (d) your failure to act on CSE's written advice within the timelines CSE reasonably prescribes.

11. Third-Party Links & Government Portals

This website contains hyperlinks to third-party websites, including the CPCB Common Online EPR Portal, SPCB websites, the Indian Carbon Market (ICM) Portal, the EU CBAM Transitional Registry, SEBI's BRSR portal, and others. These links are provided for convenience only. CSE has no control over and is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, terms or your use of those portals.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement by written notice if the other party (a) materially breaches these Terms and fails to cure within 15 days of written notice; (b) becomes insolvent or is the subject of a winding-up petition; or (c) engages in conduct that brings the other party into disrepute. Termination does not affect any fees due for work already delivered, nor the survival of clauses that by their nature survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India, except where Indian law mandates a different forum (e.g., consumer disputes under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019).

In accordance with the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Grievance Officer is Dr. Devendra Khokher, Founder & Principal Specialist. 15. Changes to These Terms

CSE may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the current version. Material changes will be notified by email to existing clients and by a prominent notice on this website. Continued use of the services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
